The price of a 12kg LPG cylinder has been reduced by Tk28, lowering the cost from Tk1,478 to Tk1,450 for this month.
This new price will be effective from 6pm on Monday, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced during a press conference at its office.
Earlier, on February 2, the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder was increased by Tk19 for that month, reaching Tk1,478.
According to the latest announcement by the BERC, the price of autogas has also been reduced by Tk1.31 per litre, from Tk67.74 to Tk66.43 per litre.
The price reduction applies not only to 12kg cylinders but also to other sizes ranging from 5kg, 12.5kg, to 45kg.
Meanwhile, the price of LPG supplied in liquid form through the centrally used reticulated system in households has been reduced from Tk119.41 per kg to Tk117.06 per kg.
Previously, in December, the price of LPG remained unchanged.
Although it was initially kept unchanged in January, the price was later increased due to VAT adjustments.
