On October 4, the country’s highest generation was 10,514MW and the minimum was 10,161MW.
The authorities imposed 4,395MW loadshedding across the country, except for the Barisal areas, where the estimated demand (376MW) is the lowest in the country, while Khulna saw only 12MW loadshedding against 1,652MW.
The highest – 2,002MW (45%) – loadshedding was reported in Dhaka area against a peak demand of 4,419MW. Sylhet saw 76%, Mymensingh 65% and Chittagong 40% loadshedding.
The loadshedding came down to 1,375MW on October 5, when Dhaka saw 712MW (16%), Mymensingh 22%, Sylhet 21%, Rangpur 16% and Comilla 16%.
On October 6, the loadshedding situation improved (1,184MW). Sylhet experienced 35% outage, Mymensingh 28%, Comilla 21%, Rangpur 16% and Dhaka saw 10%.
The total daily loadshedding dropped below the 1,000MW mark on October 7 (964MW) but rose to 1,459MW the following day and again came down to 985MW on Sunday.
Meanwhile, loadshedding was the lowest (942MW) in a week on Monday with Dhaka area experiencing only 382MW shortage against the estimated demand. On this day, the highest generation at evening peak was 12,901MW and the lowest was 10,256MW at noon.
