BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has reached party’s Nayapaltan central office in the capital to attend the Pohela Boishakh celebration on Tuesday.
Khaleda set out from her Gulshan residence at 4:15pm and arrived at the headquarters at 5:15pm, Asadul Karim Shahin, assistant office secretary of the BNP chairperson, told the Dhaka Tribune.
She is visiting the Nayapaltan office after two years.
Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (Jasas), a pro-BNP organisation, has organised the programme to observe the first day of Bangla New Year 1422.
Khaleda had last visited her party’s Nayapaltan headquarters in 2013.
