Awami League-backed mayoral candidate Sayeed Khokon has suggested his rival aspirant Mirza Abbas to go to the court to seek bail for launching campaign for the Dhaka South City Corporation election.
Khokon made the recommendation during his campaign in the capital's Dupkhola area on Saturday morning.
Khokhon said: “I want to suggest him [Abbas] to come out of the hideout and to go to court for seeking bail.”
He said: “The hideaway of Abbas would not add any benefit to the mayoral election.”
Sayeed Khokon went door to door in Dhupkhola area and sought votes for the upcoming city poll.
“Common people will never take his hideaway as good impression being a mayoral aspirant,” he added.
Khokon, who is running in the election with the symbol of Hilsha, launched a campaign in the Dhupkhola area in the old town around 10am, where he also addressed a rally in front of Awami League office in ward no-45.
