Awami League-backed mayoral candidate Annisul Huq has unveiled his manifesto for the upcoming Dhaka North City Corporation polls, pledging steps to make Dhaka green, clean and healthy.
While announcing the six-point election manifesto through a power point presentation at his office at the Lotus Kamal Tower in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon, the leading businesspersons of the country also vowed to free the city corporation from corruption.
In the manifesto titled “Somoshya chinhito, ebar shomadhan jatra (problems are known; now its time to begin the journey for solving those),” he also expressed firm determination to concentrate on waste management and recycling.
Besides, the former FBCCI boss said he would introduce special transportation and public toilets for women and enhance urban healthcare programmes.
Earlier on Friday, he got table clock as symbol for the polls scheduled to be held on April 28.
