BNP chief Khaleda Zia will be tried for the deaths of every single arson victims, Gopalganj lawmaker Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim has said.
Addressing a conference of the district’s community police force, he also blamed Khaleda for trying to establish a militant and ineffective country based on the ideals of Pakistan.
Sheikh Selim, a member of the Awami League Presidium, further accused the BNP chairperson of instructing anarchists to attack and kill police personnel.
Speaking as the chief guest of the programme held on the grounds of Gopalganj’s Bangabandhu Government University College, he pointed out that the police force was not the only ones who had the task of upholding law and order, but the citizens should also be included in community policing to achieve that goal.
The Gopalganj MP said the BNP chief failed in her repeated attempts at saving militants and war criminals. Khaleda thought that she would be able to reach power illegally by creating unrest in country, Sheikh Selim claimed.
