BCL men go rampage in Chittagong

A section of ruling party’s student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has allegedly gone on rampage at an electronic showroom by vandalising and attacking the staffs in Chittagong city’s Lalkhan Bazar area over previous rivalry.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Munir Hossen Mian of Khulshi police station said a group of 30 to 40 BCL men equipped with sticks, iron roads started vandalising the AC Bazar Limited, an electronic showroom at Lal Khan Bazar area at around 5:30pm on Sunday.

The BCL men injured three employees of the store while they tried to resist them, said the SI.

The injured were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

Being informed, police rushed to the spot but BCL men managed to flee from there, said the SI.

Legal proceedings were under processing against the attack with Khulshi police station.
