Criticising the civil society representatives who calls for holding dialogue, Awami League Advisory Council member Suranjit Sengupta has said they failed to prove their neutrality and sincerity.
"Initiative of Dr Huda was a failure at the first step, they have failed to be neutral and sincere, as they suggested for holding dialogue without asking to stop unleashing violence," he said.
He was speaking at a discussion on current politics at the auditorium of Institute of Diploma Engineers at Kakrail organized by Nouka Shamorthok Goshti with Advisor of the organization Khandaker Dr Imdadul Huq Selim in the chair.
Recently three separate letters were sent to the President, the Prime Minister and the BNP chairperson from a civil society platform requesting them to take initiatives for holding a dialogue with a view to resolving the ongoing political violence.
Suranjit said, "Before doing a good job a proper environment is required but they have messed it up by their mistake, now it cannot be corrected."
"Politicians have to solve the political problems, BNP wants to hold dialogue to save their leaders from cases not to hold national election," he said adding, "BNP cannot step forward without stopping violence."
"BNP has to leave Jamat-Shibir for the Constitutional politics, Jamaat is the father of anarchy, who wants to see Bangladesh as Pakistan and BNP cannot go ahead with the agenda of Jamaat," said the AL leader, "Khaleda Zia is becoming isolated from people like other BNP leaders, which BNP also does not want," he said.
