The ruling Awami League-led 14-party alliance will stage human chain across the country on February 8 protesting the killings during the hartal and blockade enforced by BNP-led alliance.
The decision was taken at the central committee meeting of 14-party alliance.
Awami League advisory council member Mohammad Nasim made the announcement in a press conference at party president's Dhanmondi office on Wednesday afternoon.
The ruling party-led alliance will also hold a protest rally at the site of petrol bomb attack in Comilla's Chouddagram on February 7.
In the press conference, Nasim also labelled BNP chief Khaleda Zia as a militant leader.
The BNP-led 20-party alliance has been observing countrywide roads and waterways blockade for indefinite period since January 5.
At least 50 people have been killed in the nearly-a-month-long blockade and intermittent hartals enforced by the opposition alliance.
Hundreds of vehicles, including those belonging to law-enforcers, were burnt and attacked.
The BNP chairperson called the non-stop blockade on January 5 after she was barred from coming out of her Gulshan office.
