Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, has called a 48-hour hartal in Rajshahi Division protesting the death of a leader of the organisation.
Chhatra Shibir President of Chapainawabganj unit Abu Bakkar endorsed the information to the Dhaka Tribune on Tuesday.
The hartal will begin at 6am on Wednesday and continue till 6am on Thursday.
The deceased Shibir leader is Asadullah Tuhin, 20, son of Emdadul Haque, of Charmohanpur Chakpara area of Chapainawabganj municipality.
Tuhin, Chhatra Shibir president of City College unit in the district, ran over by a truck coming from the opposite side of the road when he jumped on the road to flee from the law enforcers early Tuesday.
Shibir claimed the death as murder by the RAB and called on the 48-hour long hartal.
