BNP has called a 24 hours hartal for Wednesday in Rajshahi division in protest of the filing case against its Chairperson Khaleda Zia and arrest of party’s leaders, activists.
BNP’s Rajshahi Divisional Organising Secretary Harun-or-Rashid confirmed the local journalists about the program on Monday noon.
As per decision came from party’s top-level meeting, the hartal would be enforced in all districts of Rajshahi division from 6am Wednesday to 6am Thursday, he also said.
Harun also informed that in the meantime, all associates and subordinate organsitions of BNP at all units in Rajshahi division were instructed to observe the hartal.
Earlier, on January 19, BNP observed a 24 hours hartal in Rajshahi to protest the arrest of its Rajshahi district unit president and former MP Advocate Nadim Mostafa.
