Jamaat-e-Islami's student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir has called hartal for Tuesday in Chittagong district.
Azad Chowdhury, the publicity secretary of Chittagong (South) unit of Shibir, declared the hartal on Sunday.
He said the hartal was announced in protest of the arrest of their activist Tareq Hossain.
Earlier, Bakulia police arrested Tareq.
