BNP-led 20-party alliance called day-long shut down today in six-districts of Barisal division.

Divisional coordinator of 20-party alliance and Barisal city BNP president Advocate Mojibor Rahman Sarwar announced this decision on Friday night after presiding a meeting in a secret place and contacting with leaders of other districts, he added.
The day-long hartal in Barisal division was called protesting oppression and arrest of leaders and activists by law enforcers as ruling party machineries, Ziauddin said calling people to make the called strike and ongoing blockade successful.
However, blockade going on loosely without hampering daily life in Barisal yesterday.
Three passenger carrier buses of short routes were damaged by brick bats of the pro-hartal picketers on Barisal-Dhaka highway and another one on Barisal-Nalcity route.
