The BNP-led 20-party alliance has called a dawn-to-dusk hartal in Gazipur for Monday amid the countrywide blockade.
Fazlul Haque Milon, president of Gazipur unit of BNP, confirmed about hartal to the Dhaka Tribune on Sunday morning.
The hartal was announced protesting the confinement of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and arrest of the party leaders in false cases, said Milon.
He said: “The Ijtema devotees will return by today. The hartal will cause no sufferings to them.”
