BNP-led 20-party alliance is yearning to come to power by destroying the country's ongoing development, Jessore 3 constituency lawmaker Kazi Nabil Ahmed has said.
Kazi Nabil Ahmed made the observation while addressing a rally organised by Jessore sadar and town Awami League at Bhairab Shaheed Chattar in Daratana intersection area of the town on Saturday afternoon.
“Conspiracies are being hatched up inside and outside the country, but we will resist it by hook or by crock,” the lawmaker vowed.
Kazi Nabil said BNP-Jamaat alliance is killing people, creating an anarchic situation demanding so-called caretaker system.
They want to stop the efforts of the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The efforts that were meant to make the country a Sonar Bangla in line with the dream of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
However, the mass people have never let their conspiracy work, he also said.
At his address, the Awami League MP said when AL runs the government the agriculture sees a bumper harvest, electricity production and literacy rates increase, alongside maternal and infant mortality rates decrease.
Moreover, the country gets infrastructural development, and the international community praises the country.
He also said, if AL retains to power, Bangladesh will enter the list of the middle-income countries by 2021, and the per capita income will go up $2500.
At the rally he called the party activists to work unitedly to uphold the developments.
Presided over by Sadar upazila AL President Mohit Kumar Nath, the rally was also addressed by Shahidul Islam Milan, Haider Ghani Khan Palash, Advocate Abul Hossain, District Workers’ League President Kazi Abdus Sabur Helal, District Jubo League President Mustafa Farid Ahmed Chowdhury, Chhatra League President Ariful Islam Riyadh, District Swechchhasebak League President Asaduzzaman Mithu, among others.
