Police have arrested 15 activists of BNP and Jamaat in Chandpur.
Of them, seven were BNP activists, eight Jamaat, police said.
Chandpur SP Amir Zafar said they were arrested from different places of the district as they were warranted accused in various cases.
They were arrested in the time between Saturday night to Sunday Morning [till 9am] from different places under Sadar, Hajiganj, Shahrasti and Kachua upazilas of the district.
The arrested were made accused in different cases filed at different times. It was believed that they were arrested ahead of January 5, one year into the election that BNP and its key ally boycotted.
