At least 10 people have sustained injury in a clash between Chhatra Dal activists and police on Friday afternoon.
The clash ensued as Chhatra Dal activists vandalised several vehicles and shops following a clash between two factions while they were on a procession to mark the organisation’s anniversary.
The incident took place when JCD procession was marching towards SK Road to join a rally.
Ten people were injured in crude bomb explosions while the JCD activists were on chase and counter-chase with police.
Police fired 10 rounds of blank shot and tear shells to bring the situation under control.
Officer-in-Charge Mahbub Morshed of Feni Model Police Station confirmed the incident to the Dhaka Tribune.
Additional police have been deployed to avoid any untoward situation, the OC said.
