A 71-member convening committee of BNP's Chandpur district unit has been formed.
Sheikh Farid Ahmed Manik has been made convenor of the committee.
Manik told the Dhaka Tribune that the committee consists of 15 joint convenors and 55 members.
"I will fulfill my duties given by our leader Khaleda Zia," Manik said in an instant reaction.
The last committee of the district was formed in 2010 with Engineer Mominul Haque as president and Sheikh Farid Ahmed Manik general secretary.
