Rizvi: Nov 8 rally to be held at any cost

Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday at the party's Naya Paltan office, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said his party was still awaiting police permission to stage the rally. He alleged that because of BNP's planned events surrounding November 7, which BNP observes as 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day', the security services have been detaining party activists en masse. The party has planned 10 days of events to mark the occasion. “We hope the police will give us permission for the rally,” Rizvi said.
