BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has left Dhaka for Kishoreganj, where she scheduled address a public rally.
The motorcade of the BNP chief left her Gulshan residence around 10:50am on Wednesday.
She is be addressing the rally at Kishoreganj Government Gurudayal College ground.
The rally aims to mobilise public support in the favour of the alliance's demand for holding a fresh national elections under a non-party government.
Several thousand colourful banners and festoons have been hung on the roadside of Kishoreganj-Bhairasb highway ahead of Khaleda's visit.
Around 600 arches have been erected at different points of Kishoreganj- Bhairasb road for the occasion.
Alliance sources said a total of 17 sub-committees have been formed to carry out various responsibilities to make the rally a success.
BNP's district unit President Md Shariful Alam said around 300 volunteers will be responsible for maintaining discipline at the venue of the programme.
