Nasim warns of stern action against corruption in health sector

Health Minister Mohammad Nasim yesterday sounded a note of warning against any sort of corruption in the health sector.

“We will definitely take action as we find specific corruption allegation against any person,” he said while inaugurating the four-day eighteenth congress of Federation of the Asia and Oceania Parental Society at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre here.

With President of the society National Professor MR Khan in the chair, among others, President of Bangladesh Medical Association Prof Mahmud Hasan were present at the meeting.

Coming down heavily on Transparency International of Bangladesh (TIB) the report, the minister said, “TIB prepared the report with a motive as it brought a blanket corruption allegation without mentioning any specific claim.”

“A total of 6000 physicians have been appointed simultaneously at different levels across the country without exchanging of any sorts of bribe. But, the TIB report did not mention it,” Nasim, a presidium member of Awami League also said.
