BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has said the party will declare anti-government movement anytime.
Khaleda Zia made the statement while talking to the party leaders in Bogra on Thursday morning.
She is on her way to Nilphamari to address a public rally in the afternoon.
The motorcade of the BNP chief left her Gulshan residence in the capital Dhaka around 4:15pm on Wednesday.
On her way to Nilphamari, she took a break and stayed the night at Bogra circuit house, said Khaleda’s media wing official Sayrul Kabir Khan.
She started her journey for Nilphamari around 11:30am on Thursday, he said.
The former premier is set to address a public rally in the district around 3pm, he added.
“However, she will not hold any party meetings in the district.”
The district BNP has organised the rally to drum up public support in favour of the demand for an election under a non-partisan interim government and protest the recent spike in killings, abductions and forced disappearances.
The district unit of the 20-party has already taken all-out preparations to welcome their leader and make the rally successful.
In a bid to boost up the ongoing “anti-government” movement, Khaleda Zia is set to address public rallies in Natore, Commila and Kishoreganj on October 30, November 7 and November 12 respectively.
