Ex JaPa lawmaker Jabbar and his son sued

The Anti-Corruption Commission yesterday filed cases against former Jatiya Party lawmaker from Satkhira 2 constituency M Abdul Jabbar and his son Mahbub Hossain on charges of accumulating illegal wealth beyond their known sources of income.

ACC Assistant Director M Masudur Rahman lodged two cases against the duo with Ramna police station.

According to primary inquiry, the duo accumulated illegal wealth worth Tk2 crore and concealed the information in the wealth statements they had submitted to the ACC, Deputy Director Pranab Kumer Bhattacharya told the Dhaka Tribune.
