Miscreants have hacked a Jubo League activist to death at Baghra under Sreenagar upazila in Munshiganj.
The deceased is Shamsu Pathan, 22, son of one late Soleman Mia alias Babu Pathan of Baghra area and a Jubo League activist of the area.
Locals and police said police recovered his body near a pond behind Baghra Puja mandap around 8:30pm on Friday.
The miscreants also cut the tendons of Shamsu's right leg.
They said Shamsu had been seen at a cattle market 20 minutes before the recovery of the body.
Sreenagar police station Officer-in-Charge Mahbubur Rahman said: “We are trying to arrest the murderers.”
