Crude bomb blast injures 1 in capital

A man has been injured in a crude bomb explosion at Mohammadpur in the capital.

The injured Benzir Ahmed Chanchal, 35, a manager of Singer showroom, has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

His colleague Anwar Hossain who rushed him to the hospital told Dhaka Tribune that Benzir was standing at the Noorjahan Road around 7pm on Sunday.

All on a sudden, some unidentified men threw a crude bomb on his head, he said.

“As the bomb exploded Benzir got severely injured. Immediately he was rushed to DMCH,” Anwar added. 

DMCH police outpost In-Charge Mozammel Haque confirmed the incident.
