Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman HM Ershad has urged the BNP leaders and activists to join his party, shunning alliance with the Jamaat-e-Islami.
He made the call while speaking as chief guest at the biennial conference of Feni district JP at Mizan Maidan on Saturday afternoon.
"Jatiya Party is the real nationalist force," Ershad said.
Pointing finger at BNP, Ershad said a party is threatening to launch a movement. But they are not in the streets.
"If the people vote Jatiya Party to power, I will eliminate terrorism and corruption," he asserted.
Ershad said Khaleda Zia was the prime minister of the country for two terms, but did nothing for the country.
"The BNP government created Hawa Bhaban and indulged in corruption," he alleged.
