Ershad pledges 151 seats

Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad yesterday claimed that his party will be elected to state power after wining more than 151 seats.

He made the observations while addressing a view exchange meeting with Khulna Zila committee in his Banani office in the capital.

Ershad said: “Good times are waiting for us, we will go to state power by wining 151 seats out of 300 constituencies anyhow. For this reasons, we need to strengthen party activities in every district and upazila.”

He also said the people of this country now wants to see JaPa in state power as the major two parties had failed to live up to their expectations.

However, party insider claimed although JaPa had 72 district committee, but no more 10 committee were currently.

“Most of the committee are running its convening committee,” the party source added.

For the last two years, Ershad was trying to complete Zila committees but has not been able to do so.

After Rawshan Ersahd became the opposition leader of parliament, many district committee chiefs have stopped complying to Ershad’s orders, a party insider told the Dhaka Tribune.
