The newly appointed secretary general of Jatiya Party Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu has said there has been no grouping in the party rather all the party members remains united under the leadership of Eshad.
He made the statement while addressing a programme at Jatiya Party’s central office at Kakail on Sunday afternoon.
“Let me try to reorganise the party holding fresh council sessions from district to central committees to strengthen the party,” he said.
He claimed that the JaPa had been a successful opposition in parliament under the leadership of Rawshan Ershad.
“It is a new model of opposition in parliament,” he said.
In the programme, Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad asked his loyal members to prepare the party for the next parliamentary polls to be held in 2019.
“The party should be prepared for the next polls under the leadership of the new secretary general,” Eshad said.
Eshad on April 10 appointed Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu as the secretary general in a bid to strengthening the party.
Introducing Bablu among the leaders and activists, Ershad hoped that Bablu would be able to gear up the JaPa for getting better result in the next elections.
Regarding the relief of Ruhul Amin Howlader, the former military ruler said Howlader wanted to get relief from the post as he had been tired of the duty.
Hawlader served the party for the last 14 years while the Anti-Corruption Commission filed several cases against him for maximising wealth illegally.
