Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) unit Chhatra League has formed a human chain at the campus, demanding immediate arrest of the killers of their party leader on Saturday morning.
The university’s BCL President Morsheduzzaman Khan Babu and its secretary Md Saiful Islam led the human chain program.
Vice-Chancellor of BAU Rafiqul Haque said: “The protestors should be careful so that there is no confusion among them regarding the movement.”
One of the students, Golam Mostafa said: “Students will light candles at the foot of Bijoy’71 at the campus in the afternoon.”
Saad Ibne Mamtaz, a fourth year student of fisheries department and also the organising secretary of BCL Ashraful Haque hall unit, was killed on Tuesday over an internal feud.
On Wednesday, Mymensingh Kotwali police arrested Chhatra League leader Sujoy Kumar, activists Ashraful Haque and Rokonuzzaman in connection to the matter.
