The High Court has granted six-month bail to BNP leaders Mirza Abbas and Abdus Salam in separate murder cases filed with Ramna and Shahbagh police stations.
A HC bench comprising of Justice Borhanuddin and Justice KM Kamrul Kader passed the order on Wednesday afternoon.
Of the murder cases, three were filed with Ramna police station while another was filed in Shahbagh police station.
BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas was granted bail in the four cases while Dhaka City BNP Member Secretary Abdus Salam was granted bail in one case filed against him with Shahbagh police station.
Defence Lawyer Barrister Ehsanur Rahman said: “The BNP leaders have secured bail in all the cases filed against them, so there is no bar to free them from jail.”
