Issuing a note of warning, the BNP said it has vowed to take ‘historic revenge’ to evict the “conspirators and killers” if the “fascist and illegal government” does not stop “killing and force disappearance.”
BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi came up with the forewarning while addressing a press meet at party’s Nayapaltan headquarters in the capital on Thursday afternoon.
He said: “Nationalist Force has been struggling as a supreme solder against the fascist and autocratic attack. People’s united voice is the only sharp weapon to counter the repression and suppression. If the repressive, fascist and illegal government does not stop killing and disappearance, then nationalist force will take historic revenge to evict the killer and conspirators.”
When asked whether the party would choose the path of killing and disappearance in the name of historic revenge, Rizvi said: “The negative question was asked to humiliate the BNP. What I wanted to mean was clear in my speech.”
Alleging that the government has adopted all sorts of misdeeds to continue its victory in the upazila parishad elections, the BNP leader said the members of Jubo League and Chhatra League have been staging armed procession in front of law enforcers in different polling centres.
“Election commission has the power to control the law and order situation but they did not take any step to stop vote robbery,” he added.
