BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that the ruling party activists are occupying all polling centres by the support of law enforcers in the fourth phase of upazila polls.
He made the allegation in a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan headquarter on Sunday.
Rizvi said: “Chhatra and Juba League cadres are creating violence all over the country and they are not allowing BNP-backed candidates to stay in the polling centre in some places.”
“All our concerns have been proved today, as Awami League is snatching ballot boxes, casting fake votes and killing our supporters. Law enforcers are playing the role of silent spectators,” he added.
The BNP leader said Election Commission is not taking cognisance of these complains. They are working as a rubber stamp of the government.”
The government is now conspiring to make it a voter-less election, he added.
He said: “Though army is deployed in this upazila election but they were not allowed to use their overall power.”
