Police have arrested five activists of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and its students wing Islami Chhatra Shibir.
They were arrested early Sunday for their alleged involvement in attack on law enforcers, setting fire on polling centres and other heinous activities, Moheshpur police station Officer-in-Charge Akram Hossain said.
The arrestees are Natima Union Shibir President Milon, Jamaat activists Parvez, Mintu and BNP activists Waliar and Salim Reza.
Akram said: “The arrestees are wanted in a number of cases as they were engaged in an attack on law enforcers, setting fire on polling centres and other heinous activities in the upazila during the parliamentary election.”
