The second prime accused in the case over attack on Asaduzzaman Noor in Nilphamari was identified dead in Rahubal area of Shibganj upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The police recovered the bullet-hit body of Md Mohidul Islam, 27, a Rajshahi University student and also a suspected Shibir activist.
Shibganj police station Officer-in-Charge Fazlul Kabir told the Dhaka Tribune that an unidentified body was recovered on February 1 and later the body was buried by Anzuman Mofidul Islam as police did not get any identity.
However, on Wednesday the family members identified the body after information from Nilphamari police station as the police sent the photograph of the unidentified body to different police stations.
Nilphamari sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Shahjahan Pasha confirmed the Dhaka Tribune of the incident.
Mohidul was the second accused over attack on Asaduzzaman Noor, he added.
