Communications Minister Obaidul Quader has said the people of the country have to bring back politics to a positive train by upholding the spirit of Language Martyrs Day.
The minister made the statement after paying tribute to the language martyrs at the Central Shaheed Minar on Friday morning.
He said: “The spirit of Language Martyrs Day does not support militancy, terrorism, violence and sabotage.”
“We have to bring the politics back to a positive train by upholding the spirit of this historic day [Language Martyrs Day],” he added.
Obaidul said Language Martyrs Day should not only be celebrated just for a day; rather, we must foster its spirit all the time.
