Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said people will bring Awami League back to power as they are enjoying the benefits of development due to the continuation of her government.
She made the statement while talking to the leaders and activists of Swechchhasebak League at Ganobhaban on the occasion of the founding anniversary of their organisation on Thursday, reports the UNB.
The prime minister said: "People are enjoying the benefits of development as there is the continuation of the government," she said.
Talking about BNP-Jamaat, Hasina said: "The country's people will resist their heinous design in the future and bring Awami League to power again."
She asked Swechchhasebak League members to do politics with sacrificing mentality as Bangabandhu did.
"You have to do politics habouring the attitude of sacrifice like Bangabandhu...you must always think about how much you're able to give to the country and its people," Hasina said.
The prime minister said Awami League's politics always goes to one direction - ensuring the welfare of people as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
"I will tell you that those who'll do politics with the mentality of sacrifice will be able to have a dignified place in people's hearts, and that's the highest reward for a politician in his or her life," she said.
Swechchhasebak League president Adv Molla M Abu Kawsar and general secretary Pankaj Debnath also spoke on the occasion.
