Abdus Sobhan made principal secretary

Abdus Sobhan Sikder, senior secretary of the public administration ministry, was appointed as prime minister’s principal secretary yesterday.

He will replace Shaikh Md Wahid Uz Zaman, who will go on post-retirement leave today. The ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard yesterday.

The ministry issued an order approving Shaikh Wahid’s post-retirement leave earlier. He is too sick to perform his duty, said the notification.
