Three top leaders of Raipur upazila Jubo League were expelled over allegations of involvement in Tender grabbing in Lakshmipur on Tuesday.
Upazila Jubo League Convener Kamrul Hassan, Joint Convener Arif Hossain and municipality unit Convener Shamsul Islam were said to have been involved in grabbing Tk2 crore tender of a local government project.
The expulsion was declared in a press release signed by district Jubo League Convener Syed Ahmmad Patwari and Joint Convener AKM Salahuddin Tipu.
The Raipur upazila and municipality unit Jubo League committees were scrapped, the press release said.
The expelled people tarnished the image of the government and Awami League through the tender grabbing practice, the press release said.
