The BNP-led 18-party alliance has called in a dawn-to-dusk hartal in the district for Thursday.
The opposition alliance called the shutdown in protest of a High Court order that asked Tarique Rahman to surrender before the Dhaka court in connection to a money laundering case.
Saiful Islam, coordinator of 18-party alliance in Bogra, made the announcement during a rally at Altafunnesa Play Ground this evening.
On December 5 last year, the Anti-Corruption Commission filed an appeal with the High Court challenging a lower court verdict that acquitted BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman in the same money laundering case involving Tk204.1m.
