Chairman of the newest fraction of Jatiya Party Kazi Zafar Ahmed has declared to lend his party support to 18-party alliance’s movement.
He made the declaration while talking to the journalist after holding a meeting with BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office on Saturday night.
Kazi Zafar said his Jatiya Party would be lending its support to 18-party alliance’s programmes which are to be held on January 20 and 29.
BNP will hold a rally at SuhrawardiUddyan on January 20 to thank the people for boycotting January 5 polls and will stage demonstrations in all upazilas, districts and divisional levels across the country on January 29.
Earlier, Ershad expelled Kazi Zafar from the party over differing opinions on the JP’s involvement with the national polls scheduled for January 5.
However Zafar, later in a statement, expelled Ershad from the party and announced the special council.
