Govt killing opposition men unlawfully, claims Fakhrul

BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has claimed that the government is carrying on extrajudicial killings of 18-party alliance activists by using joint forces.

The BNP leader made the claim in a statement issued on Saturday evening.

The BNP leader also claimed that the government had chosen enforced disappearance, killing and torture as means to “suppress opposition’s voice”.

Fakhrul also called upon the government to shun the way of torture to evade the consequence.

Meanwhile, he condemned the killing of Golam Rabbani, organising secretary of the party’s Laxmichap union in Nilphamari Sadar.

Fakhrul alleged that the joint force had arrested him from Panchagarh some days back and later his body was recovered from Palashbari union.
