Vote counting underway

Vote counting for the 10th general polls began on Sunday afternoon. Voting started at 8am and ended at 4pm. 

Our correspondents are sending updates of vote countings from various parts of the country.

Dhaka-7:

A total of 887 votes have been counted in the constituency.

Awami League-backed candidate Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin got 443 votes while Mohammad Riyaj Uddin got 38 votes and Haji Md Selim got 397 votes.

Lalmonirhat-3:

A total of 9,134 votes have been counted in 10 polling centres of the constituency.

Abu Saleh Md Sayeed Dulal got 8,593 votes while, M Khorshed Alam got 321 and Golam Mohammad Quader got 220 votes.

Rangpur-3:

A total of 2,385 votes have been counted in 10 polling centres of the constituency.

Md Sabbir Ahmed got 585 votes and HM Ershad 1,799.

Pabna-1:

A total of 7,793 votes counted in 20 polling centres of the constituency.

Shamsul Haque Tuku got 4,780 votes while Yasin Arafat got 66 votes, Professor Abu Sayeed got 2,912 votes and Nazrul Islam got 35 votes. 

Kishoreganj-3:

Jatiya Party-backed candidate Mujibul Haque Chunnu won in the constituency.

Chunnu got 79, 392 votes while his contender independent candidate Mizanul Haque got 16,474 in 120 centres of the consituency.
