The Awami League will increase the production of electricity to 24,000mw by 2020 if elected next time.
The party also pledged to raise the production to 16000mw by 2016.
To this end the Awami league will ensure the completion of Rampal Power Plant and Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant projects.
The party will facilitate the exploration oil and natural gases in the coast and sea areas.
If needed, the party can collaborate with the other countries in this regard.
The party also pledged to reach electricity to every door.
Awami League President Sheikh Hasina announced the party manifesto at the capital’s Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on Saturday afternoon.
