The opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance declared a countrywide protest programme for Thursday.
They announced the programme demanding the restoration of non-partisan caretaker government system.
BNP Acting secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the announcement through a press release issued on Wednesday afternoon.
The press release stated that the programme would be staged protesting the causalities and arrest of opposition party members during the five spells of blockades.
The opposition alliance is set to stage protest rallies in every thanas, upazilas, districts and metropolitan cities across the country.
