Main opposition BNP cannot foil the upcoming 10th general election by any means, says former Prime Ministerial Advisor for Public Administration HT Imam.
He made the statement while speaking to journalists after a meeting held by the Awami League Election steering committee on Friday afternoon.
HT Imam, co-chairman of the committee, said: “We will take tougher measures to maintain the law and order situation. The government will adopt a hard line against the ongoing violence incited by the opposition members.”
Claiming that the law enforcing agencies were asked to ensure the people’s security at any cost, he said: “People will be able to cast their votes in a secured environment as we are taking every possible step to ensure their security.”
A total of 12 sub-committees have been reformed during the meeting.
