Jatiya Party Secretary General Ruhul Amin Hawlader has withdrawn his nomination paper from Patuakhali-1.
The JP leader made the disclosure at the press briefing held at around 5pm in the capital on Friday.
In the briefing, he also called his partymen to withdraw their nomination papers as per the direction of JP Chairman HM Ershad.
He said it is Ershad’s strict decision that JP will not take part in the upcoming national polls.
