Rowshan, Anisul, Bablu resign to Ershad

Two other Jatiya Party ministers and an advisor to the prime minister have sent their resignation letters to party chief HM Ershad on Sunday.

They are Rowshan Ershad, health minister, Anisul Islam Mahmud, water resources minister, and Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, advisor to the prime minister.

Rezaul Islam, president of Jatiya Juba Sanghoti, confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the resignation submission of Anisul Islam Mahmud and Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu. While JP Minister Salma Islam confirmed about Rowshan Ershad.

Kazi Firoz Rashid, a presidium member of JP, said: “The JP ministers went to Ganabhaban to submit resignation papers to the prime minister. But, the premier did not give appointment.”

He added that the ministers would go again to the prime minister at 3:30pm.

Earlier, Kazi Firoz Rashid said the resignation letters of all the six ministers and an advisor, were in hand of party Chairman HM Ershad.

However, while leaving Ershad’s residence after meeting with Taranco, JP Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Howladar showed some papers to the reporters and said: “Here are the resignation letters. I am going to submit these to the prime minister.”
