At least 6 men were hurt at a clash between Al men and BNP-Jamaat men.
The clash occurred at Barua Bazar, Burimari highway of Lalmonirhat district on Sunday evening.
Al leaders claimed the Jamaat men torched a motorcycle that belonged to one of their leaders. Agitated AL men burned two shops of BNP men after hearing the news.
Meanwhile Jamaat-BNP men alleged the AL men of abducting aShibir activist and beating him mercilessly.
Al men protested against the accusation and saidBNP-Jamaat is spreading false stories to create mayhem.
OC of Patgramthana, Sohrab Hossain confirmed the situation is under control and police is staying alert to combat any future clashes.
