The Detective Branch of Police picked up Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) General Secretary Habibur Rashid Habib at Shantinagar in the capital Sunday afternoon.
Abu Yusuf, assistant commissioner (media) of DMP, confirmed the arrest to the Dhaka Tribune.
“The Chhatra Dal leader has been taken to DB headquarters,” he added.
