Four of the arrested BNP leaders were being kept under division facility at Dhaka Central Jail, Part 2 in Kashimpur, Gazipur.
Moudud Ahmed, MK Anwar, Rafiqul Islam Miah and advisor to BNP Chairperson Abdul Awal Mintoo were taken to Kashimpur jail Saturday night at 10:30pm.
Kashimpur Jailor Jahangir Kabir said the four leaders were being kept under division facilities after being transferred from Dhaka Central Jail.
Moudud Ahmed, MK Anwar and Abdul Awal Mintoo were kept at Chitra building in Kashimpur Central Jail, Part 1 and Rafiqul Islam Mia was kept at Surma building in Kashimpur Central Jail, Part 2.
Khaleda Zia’s special assistant Shimul Biswas was not taken to Kashimpur jail, he added.
Prisoners enjoy privileges compared other inmates under division facility.
Earlier on Saturday, a Dhaka court sent the five BNP leaders to jail adjourning their remand hearing until Thursday.
